| About Students |
Capstone in Strategic Communication simulates a senior communication management context, where students will apply what they have learned throughout the graduate studies curriculum. This fast-paced, deadline-driven course provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate specific skills and knowledge in strategic communication. In addition, students will be assessing crucial industry capacities in areas such as teamwork, time management, client relations, critical thinking, creativity, and project coordination. Working in assigned groups, students will partner with unique clients in a variety of industry areas to identify a strategic communication problem, analyze related proprietary data, engage in client check-in meetings, and develop evidence-based recommendations that will be presented to the client and the class. This course focuses on the application of strategic communication management skills relevant to the current context of the industry. On completion of the course, students will be innovative thinkers and problem-solvers for future strategic communication projects.
